I see police were involved in this from the beginning, via Shotspotter. So that means the issue of entrapment must be discussed. Go.

I find this very sad. Not disgusted (though I am), but just sad. I grew up around that area of town (47th and Fort), and I remember the time when you could as a child run around in the street playing, having a good time, even walk over a few blocks, and no-one took issue or had a problem with anyone. We knew eachother by name, and could hear our parents call our name out the front door 3 blocks away that it was time for dinner. This was only nearly 30 years ago (mid 80s). To see the neighbourhood I grew up and have the bulk of my childhood memories in being shot up like this for stupid, asinine reasons is just sad. Next time I'm back home, I was tempted to go down there and see the house I grew up in. Now, especially with things like this happening, I'm having second thoughts..

Kudos to the mother for actually giving a description and talking to police. Lets hope these criminals are caught and other citizens of north omaha take note that you need to talk to the cops on crimes like this if you want it out of your neighborhood

Sounds like he may have known they were after him and he has now gone into hiding. Perhaps his mother ought to bing out more about his activities.

Six young intelligent black youth. What a shame. I hope they can turn their lives around and perhaps join Chip Maxwell's urban youth employment program.
