Occupy Lincoln members say they have until midnight, Tuesday to comply with an eviction notice by city leaders. Some say, they're not leaving.
Mayor Chris Beutler announced in February that Occupy Lincoln would need to peacefully vacate Centennial Mall by May 1.
The City of Lincoln had set the deadline for the movement to leave the Mall to make way for a planned renovation.
Occupy Lincoln has been protesting on Centennial Mall since October 2011 against what its members see as corporate excess.
Some Occupiers have packed up tents, but many are planning to stay in protest.
Occupiers tell 1011 that they understand the need for the renovation, but believe they should be able to stay until construction starts.
Mayor Beutler said the City set the initial date so contractors could be assured during the bidding process that the area would be available for storing materials and equipment.
