Thats what I thought too when I see this on the news. There was reason for him to be arrested, then within a day of being arrested there was an explosion. Sounds like he didnt learn from being arrested, and went home and continued to make and have intent to sell. Maybe thats just my opinion but thats what it sounds like to me.

I doubt Nebraska is getting stuck with the bills. If he doesn't have a job or insurance, then Iowa will probably get stuck with the bills, not Nebraska.

If you are talking accredited burn units your options in the area are Lincoln, Kansas City, Iowa City or Wichita. Obviously Lincoln is closest. St. Elizabeth's gets patients from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri.

Why are you assuming Nebraska is getting stuck for the bills? Traumatic injuries go where the best treatment is. Think before you write.

The reason that the man is at a Nebraska hospital is because that's where the burn center is for the area. Where he'll recieve the best care. He was taken to the trauma center and then flown to Lincoln. Council bluffs doesn't have a true trauma center or burn center and can't handle the injuries that he suffered.

Ignorant! CB doesn't have a trauma 1 hospital, & this man needed intense treatment/care. Think abt it - if this was one of your family, wouldn't you want them to go to the appropriate/best care? As for your dollars crossing state lines into IA - write your government & VOTE!!!!

Do they ever use a Council Bluffs Hospital? It seems like Nebraska is the "go to" place for Iowa's medical treatment, and gets stuck for the bills. Iowa, on the other hand, gets Nebraska's cash in the casinos.

Yup. I'm betting illegal fireworks or meth lab. Either way hope the guy will be ok.
