That's an easy thing to say when you are not the one living among these gang members. I would not want to rat one of them out and then have to worry about retaliation, especially when you have children. Very easy to say, not so easy to do.
i hope that was sarcasm. ok, lets put it in this perspective. how many shootings in bellevue over the past 30 days?? ok, now how many shootings in north omaha over the same time period?? see?
As you can see, the majority of commenters have the same feeling. My apologies if you are one of the very few. Some cannot help the reputation that others have given that area. We do realize that.

Yes, shootings happen everywhere, but there are some very significant differences by location. I wonder if the number of shootings in some areas is related to the number of bystanders who tell what they saw. If you want less shooting and more shooters off the street then start telling what you see. N. O., stop whining if you're not going to help fix the problem.
Agree with North O dweller.... There are good people in the area! Crime can happen anywhere. Those that live in glass houses should not throw stones!
I am only gonna say that if you shoot someone in the commisson of a crime or for any other reason than self defense, or to protect life and family you are a complete and utter coward.....I understand there are two sides to every story and I am not judging anyone but when you pick up a gun with the intention of hurting an innocent person you are a worthless burden on society

I don't understand how you can shoot that many times and the "victim" doesn't have life threatening injuries. Learn to aim tough guys!
you people do realize that 99% of the north omaha shootings are not random, it is the vicious circle of retaliation. 99.99% of north Omaha locations are safe, unless one of the retaliation targets are in the area.
so because some people can't get along the rest of us in North O should have to drive farther to shop? Also there happen to be quite a few people up here who have class and manners...you just never hear about them
If only we could put all the thugs in a building and give them all the ammo they need and be done with it at least there wouldn't be any innocent by standers killed. Why can't we all just quit scamming and killing each other and get along. There is no deterant for killers as we do not execute them. We just support their silly selves until they die so free room and board and they don't have to work... such a life
