Exactly! If Sarge doesn't know the law about throwing missiles, maybe he should find another profession.

Yes, you could have been a vegetable if the ball hit you. You could also have been a vegetable if you fall off your bike.

TJ Cyclist have the same rights to use a road as yo do. Its sad when cyclist are threatened because they ride on the streets legally.I have been cursed at daily and threatened. Slow down share the road.

Commuting is well documented for health benefits and reduced costs to the community. Even for non-bikers there is great benefit. Bikers have the same rights the road as any other vehicles. Reducing the number of cars reduces congestion. Omaha has a long ways to go, but we will get there. Be safe - the person you are considering running over is someone's father, mother, daughter or son.

tj, this guy was on the bike path not the road. The point also is this could have been a walker, roller blader or small child that got hit.

That's what I was thinking! So what if it's tough to prove- does that automatically mean that CB police won't bother to investigate? When the going gets tough-then it's your tough luck I guess.

So you can just hit a golf ball in any direction whether it is towards cyclists, walkers or cars and the the CB seargent would say "it would be tough to prove that someone intentionally tried to hit a golf ball at a person, and actually connected with it."
If they turned to the right and towards the road and the gold ball went through the windshield on his police car I bet he would not give the same response.

Whether intentional or accidental, if there is not a driving range or a course, no one should be hitting golf balls (unless you live in an area not populated by people). Common sense should tell you that.

Another reason to always wear your helmet.
