I drove by on the way to KC after the crash, Responders were there and it appeared that all had been evacuated. I am supprised that anyone survived by the looks of the SUV. Always worse when kids are envolved.

When I first noticed the story the first thing that stuck out to me was their home location (Smyrna Tn which is about 15-20 minutes from where I'm from, and also where my best friend among other friends live.) Regardless, I'm sure when they came all this way the furthest thing from their minds when coming here, were that they would not all be coming home:( and my thoughts and prayers are definitely with this family. I pray upon prayers that the remaining members of the family survive to return home. And iowagirl the reason they reported on the semi striking a member of the family is because that is what happened and we all want the truth, not some sugar-coated crap to fill out days right?!? Yes it is a VERY sad story. Unimaginable beyond belief even but the news is the news no matter how sad and heart-wrenching it may be. Again, my thoughts and utmost prayers are with this family and the recovery and safety of the survivors. Lets all hope they all make it back home.
