To "to the uneducated". Please educate me and point out the chapter in the Bible where we are instructed to pray to saints. I have studied the Bible my whole life and just can't back that up biblically.

At least they (Catholics) aren't atheists. Just can't please some Christians.

why do Christians pick on other Christians? Why is there always an "us versus them" attitude about everything?

I hear ya, but this is one of those "My Christian faith is better than yours" kinda things.

John 14:6- "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." I Timothy 2:5- "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus."

There is a misconception regarding praying to saints. We pray to the saints asking for their prayers to God. As saints, we believe they have the ear of God, for lack of a better way to put it. We do not believe the saints are gods or false idols, we ask them to pray for us just as we ask the living here on earth pray for us. Please, before you judge or comment, get the facts and better understand.

I went to Catholic school for 12 years and we prayed before every game. Don't judge...

I agree. There are no examples in the Bible of good people praying to anyone but God himself. Also, nothing in the Bible about turning dead people into Saints. Why do Catholics not use the Bible as the center for their religion?

As a christian i find it ridiculous that you are praying to saints at all. way to have false idols... may as well make a golden calf.

As a Catholic, I'm offended that you can't take a joke!

People can pray to God in any way they choose, who are you or K to judge them? That itself is a sin.

> there must be two miracles And that's where Catholics meet with snickers in the 21st century. Can't he have just been a really good person? Someone who helped others when no one else would? Not good enough says the Church. He must have bled from his hands or healed the sick with a touch or some other fairytale from a bronze age religion?

Its called a joke for a reason. Maybe you two should lighten up.

Praying is very effective, providing that you pray for something that would have happened anyway.
