Kite Festival Scheduled

The skies over the La Vista Sports Complex will be full of color this Sunday as the annual La Vista Fall Kite Festival takes flight.

The skies over the La Vista Sports Complex will be full of color this Sunday as the annual La Vista Fall Kite Festival takes flight.

The kite festival will take place on Sunday, May 6, from noon to 5 p.m. Professional kite fliers will be on hand on the north side of the soccer complex and on the south side, the general public can fly their own kites.

Some seating is available in bleachers, but lawn chairs are also encouraged.

There will be an area of ground kites for children to play in and kite candy drops will take place throughout the afternoon.
