I am so sorry for the family's pain and loss. And even though Channel 6 did a good job on the story, the Missouri Valley newspaper was the first to report this story, including the information on the 911 calls. I believe she is holding an edition of the paper in the video.

How can somebody be all over the road, be followed for over 30 miles by someone calling 911 and nothing happens? If that's protocol, protocol needs to be changed and fast. Gary who followed her thanks for doing the right thing and doing all you could to try to save a life. RIP Jennette hopefully justice will come soon.

This is so sad....it certainly was no fault of the victim! She was a hard working mother/wife/grandmother, on her way to her 2nd job to help support her family. shame on the Insurance company.....they need to step forward and do the right thing! Hasn't this family suffered enough?

not all policies have this clause.

If the druggie potheads wouldn't drive around with illegal drugs, they wouldn't be taking up the time that law enforcement could use to keep the vast majority of law abiding citizens safe. Selfish!

This needs to be resolved. Too much time has passed and it seems no one is doing anything. We can not over look serious affairs such as this. Its the people who stand by and do nothing that make this world such a terrible place please stand up for this family they are fantastic people.

next time they raise taxes to hire more police, make sure you are in favor. Police are generally tied up on other calls. Remember when you used to see ISP all the time on the interstate, no longer due to budget cuts. Please make a suggestion as to how to get someone from one end of the county to the other in traffic, to locate one of the hundred "reckless driver" complaints that are called into every 911 center daily.

They are too busy busting people for driving with pot in their cars to respond to the little dangerous driver reports. Be assured, the driver's that were pulled over for pot were much more dangerous to the community than the erratic driver...

911 calls were made from interstate highways from Omaha to Missouri Valley, contacting at least two different 911 dispatches. Ridiculous that she wasn't stopped BEFORE she killed Jennette.

This was a very good piece on a very sad situation. As somebody who knows the family, I do hope that you will continue to follow up and shed light on their situation.

PottCo Sheriffs were probably parked on I-80. That's their favorite spot. Never on county roads or outlying areas. Must be easier to wait for a violator than to search for one that's been reported.

What if the driver had let her insurance policy lapse? I have a father in law who buys insurance to register his car, then quits paying the premiums.
