You can bet your last dollar that the owners standard of living has not gone down. He made money off these employees, he should pay up.
Take the owed to the workers from Suttle/Gray`s pay check. They sure did not earn it.
With places like this they need to make back wages come first before creditors.
This happened to some friends of mine in Milwaukee when a restaurant/bar closed, and they never, never got paid. Meanwhile, the owner left the country. I'd say, staff, keep pressing and making your case public.
No reason to feel bad for the guy anymore. He's a crook who stole my time and money. I also love how the state of Nebraska is so eager to take taxes from my checks but when an employer doesn't fullfill his end of the bargain they have ZERO ability to get anything done. The american government is completely out of touch with what it's people actually need. Work hard, get screwed, the American Dream.
