Just go to a local supermarket that cuts their own steaks. Plenty of choices in Omaha.

First off I own a my own small company that sells meat to homes ..We buy direct from the packers and there brokers who packs for home sales as does every meat company. That allows us if we want to to under cut any price a store could offer you ANY. Period. Plus the fact is the meat is individually wrapped for easy freezer storage for up to in most cases a year Warranty against freezer burn and taste and tenderness . While all being USDA inspected. Try asking your store manger for that deal. He would laugh at you all the way to the parking lot...They simply cant offer the public what we can period. The meat companies are just like any other company some employees do it right and some don't that just the nature of people. Its amazing peoples mind sets sometimes when it comes to something there clueless about they very quickly jump on the its a scam band wagon..that would include this new station who attemped to make it look bad....Back fired on them if you ask me...typical.Ps I know the owner of Iowa steak. This guy does it right and if you bought steaks and have a problem who's fault is it if you don't use your Warranty and the have the problem resolved? Its yours not the company's

I like the door to door salespeople who come to my door and ring the door bell that is right under my "No Soliciting" sign. Can they not read.

If you knock on my door and I don't know you, I don't answer it. Have a good day!

These door-to-door salespeople are nothing more than walking spam.It really bugs me when they come to my house to sell me things. It's not like I 'forgot' that meat, magazines, candy bars, and/or soap etc exist and they are doing me some kind of a favor knocking on my door to bring it to my attention that they are available for sale. If I want to buy something-anything- then I have the wherewithal and know how to arrange that transaction on my own and on my own time.

I wouldn't buy meat being sold door to door. Some of my neighbors would because they are young and naive.

I personally wouldn't. I'm just not big on door to door anything. With that said if you have a permit, and people want to buy it (which they obviously do, given someone bought 3 boxes), I'm all for it. This is America. I just won't open my door is all. Not a big deal!

EXACTLY. I love how the city uses creative wording to cover what they really are after--money. Nothing and no one are being 'protected' except their coffers. They think Omahans are as dumb as them.
