Rosenblatt Found At Local High Schools

One of those "pieces of Rosenblatt" still in the community is the new scoreboard at Burke High School.

It does much more than keep score. The scoreboard is just part of the "Rosenblatt package deal" now in place around the metro. Crews Wednesday were making sure the lights at Burke would be ready for the start of the football season, but other parts of Rosenblatt have been in use for months at OPS sites.

Bob Dannenhauer says, "We've got a scoreboard at Northwest from the right field. We've got lights that we put up at Northwest's baseball field and we've got stadium seats throughout. We've got 1,000 of those that we've put around various baseball and softball fields so we've been very fortunate."

Danenhauer says the scoreboard is a $2 million piece of equipment. OPS got it for the cost to install it, around $400,000.
