An Omaha couple believe they have fallen victim to an Internet lending scheme.

Its left Kyle and Miranda Fry married without rings.
Miranda Fry said, “We pawned our wedding rings to get money so we could get a loan.”

The expectant couple couldn’t qualify for a conventional loan so they wired a $750 down payment to Clearview Lending Services with an Orlando, Florida address.

The lender demanded they send more money before approving the loan.

Kyle Fry said, “I knew right then it may be a scam. They would just keep doing it to get as much money as they could out of you.”

Unfortunately the couple wired the down payment before a flood of complaints started to hit the Internet.

Clearview Lending no longer has a valid phone number.

In the past month the Better Business Bureau has received 34 complaints.

Jackie Fry said her son and daughter-in-law needed the money to rent a place and buy furniture like a crib.
Jackie said, “Here are two people trying to start out, making minimum wage and for this to happen it’s really sad.”

Until they come up with enough money to get their wedding rings out of hock, Miranda and Kyle only have cell phone pictures of the jewelry.
