My blood pressure was 110/74. I had my blood drawn so I can report on that when I get the results back. My weight was down.

My Doctor, Dr. Krista Hill from Alegent Health Broadway Clinic in CB had always told me that with consistent exercise and proper eating I might get off my blood pressure medicine and cholesterol medicine. Well she was really excited for me.

I used to take 160mg of Diovan. Three months ago I was able to cut my dose in half to 80mg. Today I will cut it in half again to 40mg for a few days and then see how it goes without it.

My youngest son Gabe asked me three months ago, "Mom what do you get if you win the Go Red BetterU Challenge?". I said, "Good health without medicine!" I'm almost there. Do you hear me cheering from your house!

Next Saturday, Oct. 3rd we'll have our end of the Challenge assessment. I know I have improved on some areas but not on others. But to be able to try to be off my medicine is the best gift of all.
