Time is a Gift-Don't Waste It!
Having a second chance at life after cancer and a heart scare has put time in perspective for me.

Think about the following quotes:

Marcia Wieder: When we are doing what we love, we don't care about time. For at least at that moment, time doesn't exist and we are truly free.

Art Buchwald: Whether it's the best of times or the worst of times, it's the only time we've got.

Bonnie Prudden: You can't turn back the clock. But you can wind it up again.

Benjamin Franklin: You may delay, but time will not.

Charles Bixton: You will never find time for anything. If you want time, you must make it.

Brian Tracy: Your greatest resource is your time.

Doc Thildre and Howard Martin: You're writing the story of your life one moment at a time.

I used to say " I don't have time to exercise" . I always thought there would always be tomorrow. After I came close to dieing from cancer and scared because of ending up in the emergency room with high blood pressure I've put time in perspective.

My thinking has changed to "There's no time like the present". There seems to be an urgency to this mission of exercise for me. I've been lucky enough to have good friends who are at a point to make it "happen now" too.

Next time you catch yourself saying "I don't have time to exercise" think to yourself "how much more time do I want ". I hope you don't ever have to go through what I've been through with your health. I hope you decide for yourself that it's time right now to make a change in "how you move". I hope you make the choice that is right for you and your health.

What I do know is that you're no good to anyone else unless you're happy with who you are and what you do. For me that includes taking the time to exercise, not just because it helps me lose weight and inches but because it helps me feel better and relieves stress. Then I can be a better wife, mother, teacher, and friend.

Blessings,
Laurie
