Today is a new day...
I am back on track...and I feel great about it!

Just got back from a 45 min walk (The first one in quite a few days). It was a beautiful night out, and I used the walk to catch up with my very best friend who selfishly left me and moved to North Platte. It was such a great "ME Time" and I definitely needed it. Whenever I work out, I always feel so great afterwards-it's just the getting off my butt and going to it.
I have been planning out my meals and trying to eat healthier. We had a GREAT class with Toni last week and she told us all about the Dash diet and the things we should be eating. No big surprises there-Lot's of fruits and veggies and whole grains-all the things I DON'T eat. But I'm trying...just baby steps. I have been trying to add a fruit and/or vegetable to each meal.
For me, I know the key is planning out my meals and planning my time for working out. I am sad to say that I did not complete my goals from last week, but I am determined to do better this week.
Wednesday I head out for my sixth graders' overnight education experience-that's right, you read correctly-OVERNIGHT! I will be out hiking for a majority of the two days and teaching out in the wilderness. Needless to say, this is something that I usually do not look forward to it. I dread it. But this year, I am looking at it as an opportunity to get some physical activity in! I will let you know if I survive it!
