The Creighton Bluejays dropped Louisiana-Monroe 8-3 at Rosenblatt Stadium Friday night as the finish up the regular season.

The Jays were looking for their 35th win of the year.

CU trailed 1-0 in the first inning but not for long. Darin Ruf crushed a home run into the left field bleachers with a man on to put the Jays up 2-1.

Creighton got a couple more in the fourth and went on to post the 8-3 win.

The series finale is slated for Saturday at 1 p.m. on the Creighton campus.
