Sheriff: Man Wanted to See Girlfriend Bleed

Updated: 08/15/2011 - A Lincoln man is in jail, accused of cutting his girlfriend and refusing to allow her to get medical help. The woman tells Lancaster County Sheriff’s investigators that she was sleeping on her couch Friday evening. Her boyfriend of two years, 49-year-old Floyd Morrison, came home about 6:30 p.m. She says he held her down and cut her right jaw with a knife.

Updated: 08/15/2011 - Omaha police have been able to fill in some of the blanks from an overnight shooting. It all started at 1:12am when officers to called to the area of 16th and Willis Avenue. Someone reported hearing shots fired. While officers were on the way, they were advised someone had, in fact, been shot.
