A Lincoln man is recovering after police say he was beaten and robbed.

It happened at nine Monday night near 33rd and O street.

Officer Katie Flood says the victim came out of the Discount Depot convenience shop and the two suspect started yelling at him.

She says it appears they were trying to start a fight.

Flood says the victim ignored the men and crosses the street to the Starbucks parking lot.

The suspects followed.

"The two men ran across O street, one immediately striking him in the face with a closed fist. At that point both suspects joined in punching and knee striking the victim. While doing that, they were trying to remove his wallet," Flood said.

Flood says the suspects were not able to get the victims wallet and they eventually jumped into a dark colored, four door car, driven by a white female.

The victim suffered an orbital fracture.

Police describe the suspects as two white males, 5'10", 150 pounds, wearing dark clothing.

One has ear length, straight, blonde hair.
