Downtown Omaha hosted 1,400 young professionals Thursday for a day-long summit at the CenturyLink Center.
There were breakout sessions on career paths as well as motivational speakers.
As organizers told WOWT 6 News, much of the event is about energy.
Tracey Fricke, with the Greater Omaha Chamber, said, "One of our key mission points is to keep young people here; keep them engaged and making a difference. And this is the biggest event we do all year long to make that happen."
The keynote speaker examined the issue of how to strengthen our economic fabric at the neighborhood level and grow from within.
