A York man accused of stealing two pickups from the same farmstead has pleaded no contest after making a deal with prosecutors.
Jose Castaneda had faced two counts of theft. One was dropped, and
Castaneda pleaded no contest to the other. He faces up to 20 years in prison when he's sentenced Jan. 23.
Authorities say that in early October, Castaneda stole the first pickup from a farmstead on the east side of York. He drove it about a half mile, then lost control of it and suffered broken ribs and other injuries when the truck rolled over.
Authorities say Castaneda walked back to the same farmstead and stole the second pickup.
