The NCAA Basketball Tournament is multi-million dollar event attracting interest from across the country. Forget the beer drinking men for a moment. Women have always been interested in all the excitement.
At the Village Grinder, Patty Dudziak celebrated Creighton's tournament bid with a special drink and it's all blue, basically an Italian soda with blue raspberry and whipped cream. Patty says women are excited about the tournament and about Creighton.
“Not as crazy as the guys, but myself and my daughter, we both have brackets and all figured out, but we like the Creighton girls also."
Some women say they just have too much going on to get caught up in the tournament.
"I certainly think women can be into it as much as the men, we do all the catering for these parties,” said Sue Sandhoefner, a florist who’s also a basketball fan and she knows all about Creighton. “We love the depth of the team, the fact we don't rely on one person, love the fact the star is the coach’s kid, we love it all, it's great.”
