Woman Faces Sentencing On 4th DUI

Woman to be sentenced for a 4th DUI.

The Cassgram reports that 27-year-old Catherine S. Love of Bellevue admitted she was driving drunk in Plattsmouth last June 25th. As part of her plea agreement, another DUI charge pending in Sarpy County was dismissed. There is no agreement on sentencing.

Deputy Cass County Attorney Steve Sunde told the court that after a citizen’s tip, a Plattsmouth police officer observed a moving vehicle with a flat tire entering Plattsmouth via Webster Boulevard. The vehicle then hit a curb and stopped. Love admitted she had been drinking, said Sunde. At the law enforcement booking her blood alcohol level tested at .21. (The state legal limit is .08.)

In her plea, Love admitted to three previous DUI convictions, all in Sarpy County.

Love is currently in custody in Sarpy County for criminal mischief.

Love will be sentenced March 20th in Cass County District Court on a Class III Felony (4th DUI—super, BAC over .15). That class of felony carries a penalty of one to 20 years in prison, a $25,000 fine, or both.
