Woman Uses Phone To Track Down Robbery Suspects

A woman who has asked to remain anonymous told WOWT 6 News Monday she found the people who robbed her early Sunday morning using her phone. She said credit card transactions made by the robbers were sent to her phone, thanks to the notification system she set up months ago.

The woman was waiting at a bus stop near Turner Park after getting off work Sunday morning. She was waiting for a friend to pick her up, because her car was getting maintenance work done. A van with three people in it began circling the park, and asked her if she needed a ride. She said “no,” but eventually the suspects approached her.

They grabbed her purse leaving a big bruise on her arm. She hid her phone in her shirt and took down the license plate number as they left. She called police to inform them of the robbery.

Before police tracked them down though, she found them at the BP gas station near 30th and Dodge when a text alert that her credit card had been used was sent to her phone.

She immediately drove there after her friend picked her up, where she found one suspect, and called police. Police arrested Cayla Pritchard.

But Matthew Dyer and Antwon Williams took off before police arrived. The phone then alerted her they were at a Walmart near 72nd and Pine using her card. Police found them there and arrested the men as well.

All three were booked on Robbery charges.
