A man wanted in the stabbing of his ex-girlfriend last Sunday in Lincoln was arrested on Tuesday.
Thirty-six-year-old Antonio Hatten faces charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, two counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony and violation of a protection order.
Officers called to an apartment near 28th and O streets just after 5 a.m. found 33-year-old Stefani Mantich with cuts to her face and abdomen. According to the victim's sister-in-law, the stabbing resulted in punctures to her liver and intestines. Mantich underwent surgery and is in stable condition.
A witness said Mantich had been arguing with a man. A knife believed to be the weapon used was recovered.
Police say there were three calls in the last six months for a protection order violation at the victim's home.
