A woman was hospitalized in Lincoln Wednesday morning with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police say someone reported that the woman showed up at their front door bleeding from the head around 1 a.m. A second person called to say the same woman was screaming while running down a street with what they thought was a white car following her.
Officers found the victim near South 46th and Meredeth streets. She is expected to recover.
