Woman Searches For Missing Family Treasures

An Omaha woman is shocked to discover that generations of family valuables missing. For months she paid the moving and storage company only to find it closed without warning.

Sherrie Taylor wonders what happened to her furniture and family treasurers she last saw in a storage facility near 177th and Harrison in Sarpy County.. Taylor said, 'Its not about the stuff. Its really the personal items you collect over a life time that you don't want to lose."

Fact Finders helped her locate more than $10,000 in belongings. A call to the Public Service Commission led to news that an owner of Patt's Moving had been indicted in a Federal Drug Investigation involving Oxycontin in the Fremont area. Next there was contact with a Fremont banker then police.

Fremont detective Joyce Henke said she was not aware the subject of the Drug Task Force Investigation Davis Patterson had a moving and storage company in Sarpy county. Detective Henke had good news for Sherrie. Numerous items have been located in a large storage unit in Fremont. It will take time to sort out her items from other customers belonging but at least Sherrie knows most if not all her valuables are in care of the police.
