First responders from Pottawattamie and Douglas Counties were called to the South Omaha Veterans Memorial Bridge Monday, following a report of a possible jumper.
Crews were called to the bridge just before 9:30 a.m. WOWT 6 News' Mike McKnight reported that a woman was standing on the bridge yelling to rescuers below, "are you ready?" At one point, the woman almost lost her balance.
Just before 10 a.m., the woman backed off the bridge, on her own, and was able to get down safely. Her name has not yet been released.
