A one-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 80 killed a woman and injured a man Sunday morning east of Grand Island.
The accident was reported around 5:30 a.m. about five miles east of the Grand Island exit. Authorities say it appears that 30-year-old Matthew Beasley of North Branch, Michigan overcorrected after the SUV he was driving entered the median. It rolled several times before coming to rest on its roof.
The Hall County Sheriff's Department says 31-year-old Jennifer Foster of Shelby Township, Michigan was thrown from the SUV and killed.
Beasley was seriously injured and taken to a Grand Island hospital. His two daughters, ages 2 and 3, were properly restrained and unhurt. The children are in state care until family arrives.
