A woman has been injured on a carnival ride at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island.
State Fair executive director Joseph McDermott said that the woman was on the Rock and Roll ride when the accident occurred about 4:40 p.m. Monday, the last day of the fair. McDermott says a decorative panel fell off the ride and struck the woman's head.
He says she was taken to St. Francis Medical Center for treatment of lacerations on the back of her head.
Her name and condition haven't been released.
The ride was shut down after the accident.
