Woman Arraigned In Officer Assault Case

A 26-year-old woman accused of biting and kicking two police officers is facing felony charges. Elissa Hubbard was being held on $10,000 bond.

The Modale, Iowa woman was arraigned on Thursday.

The incident resulting in the charges happened on Tuesday when, authorities say, Hubbard locked herself in her boyfriend's car for hours. Police say he was in the process of moving away from Omaha without her.

The boyfriend eventually called police and investigators say that when officers showed up, Hubbard put up a fight. She allegedly bit and kicked two officers. They responded with Tasers.

Hubbard faces two Class Three felonies.
