A Texas man has earned bragging rights for winning the World Championship Buffalo Chip Toss in Nebraska.
Derek Noe, a 41-year old man from Harlingen, Texas threw a piece of dried bison dung 125 feet and one inch Saturday to win the mal 18-and-older competition. The event was held at Fur Trade Days in Chadron. Noe’s winning toss was well short of the record of nearly 187 feet which was set in 2000.
The women’s crown for adults was claimed by 23-year-old Ashley Riesen of Chadron who tossed her dried dung chip 88 feet and 9 inches.
