Authorities have released the name of a woman whose vehicle plunged into a reservoir near Wilber in southeast Nebraska.
Wilber Police Chief Stephen Sunday identified her as 50-year-old Sheri Fuller-Bruns, of Wilber.
Her husband, Kevin Bruns, says his wife was on her way to work at First Tri-County Bank in Swanton when her vehicle crashed into water just before 8 a.m. Thursday.
Sunday and some other officers swam out to the sport utility vehicle and pulled out Fuller-Bruns. The reservoir sits near Wilber-Clatonia High School.
She was taken to Crete Area Medical Center and then flown to BryanLGH Medical Center West in Lincoln. Police say that on Sunday, family members made the decision to end life support.
An autopsy was performed on Monday.
