Sarpy County Crime Stoppers needs help finding the person responsible for a stolen pickup truck and a trailer. A key to the investigation might be identifying the person seen on surveillance video driving a car.
We have attached surveillance video to this story.
The pickup was stolen sometime on or after November 16th from the lot at Beardmore Chevrolet in Bellevue. The truck itself is worth not much, maybe $1,000.
However, it appears the pickup was used to steal a trailer worth $5,700. Surveillance video taken at Big Red Locksmith on November 18 apparently shows the stolen pickup being used to steal a U-Haul trailer from the business. The driver was there only three minutes.
The video shows a car arriving at the same time as the pickup truck. The driver appears to be acting as a lookout while the trailer was being hitched to the truck. The two vehicles left the scene together.
Sarpy County Crime Stoppers want to talk to the owner of the black car. The number to call is 402-592-STOP (7867).
