A 36-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing from his employer. Lincoln police say Eric Supencheck pilfered items while on the job at Midwest Unlimited then turned around and sold them at a swap meet
On Sunday, the owner of the company called police after noticing Supencheck was selling items belonging to the business at the Lancaster Event Center. Tools and equipment such as chain hooks, chainsaws, harnesses, and lifting straps, valued at $3.712 were recovered. Supencheck was arrested for theft by unlawful taking.
Then on Monday, a warrant was served on Supencheck’s home. More tools and equipment, including some items that were still marked as belonging to Midwest Unlimited, were recovered. Their estimated value is $1,711. Those tools included a ladder, a sledge hammer, a wheelbarrow, a floor jack, bolt cutters, extension cords and safety harnesses.
A second warrant was served at a storage unit belonging to Supencheck, but nothing was found belonging to Midwest Unlimited.
