Weight Training Lowers Diabetes Risk

Men who add weight training to their exercise routine could lower their risk for diabetes.

A new study out of the Harvard School of Public Health looked at the medical records of more than 30,000 men.

Researchers found those who worked out with weights for 30 minutes a day, five days a week cut their chances of developing type two diabetes by a third.

If they also did aerobic exercise for the same amount of time, their risk went down sixty percent.

If you don't have that much time to dedicate to exercise, don't worry, experts say you can still benefit from as little as an hour of activity a week.
