A night of watching for liquor violations ends with the arrest of two burglars.
Members of the Nebraska State Patrol liquor enforcement team had been running surveillance on customers buying alcohol at a northwest Omaha convenience store Friday night.
The investigators were looking for underage drinkers or adults buying for them. Instead the liquor enforcement investigators saw two men breaking into the coin operated vacuum outside the store.
The two suspects arrested are identified as 54-year old David Sayles and 26-year old John Paul Tompkins. Both face burglary charges because investigators on the look out for one type of crime witnessed another.
