An alert WOWT Six News crew may have helped avert a bad car crash.
Our crew was driving on westbound on Maple Street approaching 40th Street when they noticed there was a stop sign missing.
Traffic on 40th does not have to stop.
The crew noticed the sign had been knocked down so they propped it up and called the mayor's hot line.
A city crew came out and put up a temporary sign, so now motorists heading west on Maple know they have to stop.
