Another proposal to spend money on revamping schools in the Springfield-Platteview district was shot down by voters Tuesday.
A $25 million bond issue would've created permanent walls and doors in open-format school buildings in the district.
That's a scaled-back version of a previous proposal. Plans to build a junior high school and a fitness center were scrapped. Voters rejected a $36 million version of this measure last November.
53 percent of voters were against the issue this time around.
