Volunteers Sought For Nebraska Hunter Education Effort

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is seeking volunteers to become certified as hunting and bow-hunting instructors.

The instructors teach students how to hunt safely, responsibly and respectfully. Mike Streeter, the commission's hunter education coordinator, says instructors have an opportunity to pass their knowledge along to younger generations.

Instructors must be at least 18 years old, live in Nebraska and be as licensed a hunter. Applications and program contact information are available on the commission's website.
