Volunteers are being sought for the inaugural Mighty Mo Annual Cleanup on Saturday.

The workers will remove trash and debris left by the 2011 flooding on Missouri River banks and sandbars.

Volunteers will meet at Ponca State Park's boat ramp at 8 a.m. Boats will take them to cleanup sites, where work will end at 11:30 a.m. A lunch will be served at noon.

Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Additional activities celebrating Earth Day at the park include tree planting, environmental games and a nature hike. Call 402-755-2284 for more information. A park entry permit is required.

The park sits two miles north of Ponca in northeast Nebraska.
