Lincoln police are investigating a home invasion and robbery.

Captain Michon Morrow says police were called to the 2935 Orchard Street after the robbery suspects began fighting with the victim.

Morrow says it happened at 11:49 p.m. Sunday. She says four men wearing dark clothes and bandannas broke down the door to the residence.

Police say when the suspects left, one of the victims chased after one of the suspects.

According to Morrow, while fighting with one suspect, the others returned to assault the victim.

Police say nothing was taken from the home.

The victim was transported to the hospital for injuries, including a cut to his ear.

Items recovered at the scene include gloves, a bandanna, a magazine clip to an air soft gun and two live 45 caliber rounds.

Police are asking that anyone with information on this case to call Lincoln Crimestoppers at 402-475-3600.
