A Heartland man couldn’t wait for police to arrive to investigate the theft of his lawnmower, so he took matters into his own hands.
27-year-old Justin Kunz was arrested for theft by taking when officers arrived on scene.
According to the police report Kunz grabbed a mower in the area of 42nd and Hamilton and began running from the scene. The 34-year-old owner of the mower noticed and gave chase.
At some point Kunz allegedly left the mower but the owner caught the would be thief in an alley near 45th and Lafayette. The owner held Kunz down until officers arrived and arrested him.
