Hundreds of Papillion-La Vista first-graders got the chance Friday to explore some of the vehicles they see adults use on the job.
Students learned more about the people who work in their community and the vehicles they drive during "Vehicle Day."
“It just gives them a different perspective of what they're being taught, kind of gives them real-life opportunities to touch, see and feel the vehicles and the people who drive them that are part of their community,” said organizer Lois Erickson.
Students got to explore vehicles ranging from police cruisers to limousines to farm tractors.
