Valmont Industries Leaders Will Speak on Water Crisis At Forum

The global crisis in the supply and quality of water for agriculture is the focus of an upcoming forum at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Two irrigation experts from Valmont Industries will speak as
part of the E.N. Thompson Forum on World Issues on Feb. 16 at the
Lied Center of Performing Arts.

Valmont CEO Mogens Bay and Senior Vice President E. Robert
Meaney will present "Is a Global Water Crisis Avoidable?"

Bay and Meaney will discuss population growth, food and fiber
production and water and land availability.

They will talk about how the crisis in fresh water affects food
security, water quality and soil health and offer potential
