Valley, Nebraska celebrated 150 years this weekend.
The festivities kicked off Friday and wrapped up Sunday with a flea market, a free day at the pool and a chance to check out some vintage cars.
Valley Mayor Carroll Smith reflected on the growth of Valley in 150 years. "It's where we came from and where we're going and what direction. Our community is probably the most up and coming small community around. We have lots of businesses, lots of manufacturing."
The celebration took 18 months of planning. Residents also wrote letters for future relatives and put them inside a time capsule to be opened 50 years from now.
