Police said Wednesday they've been unable to positively identify the 16-year-old girl whose body was found Tuesday morning near Blondo and Cole Creek Drive. Sources tell Channel 6 News she was a freshman at Benson High School.
"It's just really sad because she is just so young and she was a freshman and she was nice and stuff and she could have made a difference in the world and stuff and it's just really sad,” said Benson High School sophomore Tierra Hickerson. “That I had to see her go like that and nobody really knows how she died.”
Students said there was a grief counselor at the school Wednesday. It's finals week with just two days of classes left.
