Omaha police have identified the man found dead, in the water, at Hitchcock Park Lagoon Monday afternoon.
Forty-nine-year-old Richard Guerrero was found in the lagoon, near 45th and Q Street around 3:30 p.m. According to police, the autopsy concluded that he drowned.
Guerrero had no permanent address.
A 911 call was made from the area shortly after 3:30 p.m., alerting police about the body. Police treated the area like a crime scene and had to wait for nearly an hour before they were able to remove the remains.
A witness told Channel 6 News reporter Lauren Squires the victim is a male, and the death doesn't appear to be the result of foul play.
