Update: Sauna Finally Shows Up

A teacher can talk from experience when he tells his students to never give up. He dipped into his retirement fund to pay for an expensive item that hadn't been delivered for months. Here’s what happened after Fact Finders turned up the heat.

“It's come to their attention that we did not receive our sauna.” A six-month wait for a $1,500 sauna had Chris and Mark Legband of Fremont steaming. “Now, I'm starting to wonder are we going to get it?” said Mark. “That's why I asked them to call me, let me know, am I going to get it or not get it?"

“Spent a lot of time on contacting different places and trying to get answers and we've gotten no help,” said Chris. “You are the only ones that have helped us."

The couple purchased the sauna from a Sauna Corp. booth at the Omaha Home Show last spring. “For months, Sauna Corp. told Chris and Mark don't sweat delivery, but after Fact Finders contacted the company attorney, guess what showed up on their doorstep?

The Legbands sent Fact Finders photos of their new, two-person sauna. After nearly six months-worth of phone calls and filed complaints, Mark has the final trophy for his Husker room. Now he can sweat out tough games before kickoff. “This looked like such a good deal and would help with arthritis."

The Better Business Bureau also made several calls to the California-based company. The BBB has about a 90 percent success rate in getting a problem resolved, but that cannot happen unless consumers file complaints.
