The misdemeanor domestic assault case against a former Omaha anchorman and Congressional candidate has been continued.
Both prosecutors and the defense have rested their cases.
Michael Scott is accused of hitting and choking his ex-girlfriend after the couple went to a movie this past fall.
On Tuesday the woman took the stand and told the jury that Scott grabbed her throat and told her, "you embarrassed me and you deserve to die."
On cross-examination Scott's attorney, James Martin Davis, accused the woman of using "colorful" language to sway the jury.
Judge Joseph Caniglia has continued the trail until Monday, March 11th at which time jurors will be given their instructions and begin deliberations.
